Can't make it because I'll be in the hospital staring in awe at my new daughter. 2.98kg born yesterday at 16.15, everything fine.

Newborn babies are almost as awesome as a new bike.

(Btw Brendan, if you do the WASP research in your department, the placenta was supposed to go for that but it was as dry as a shredded wheat....)

Congratulations Jon. Well done! (Tell Felicity she didn't do too bad either!)  ;D You've obviously got far too many female genes!  :P ;)

Congratulations  John, hope you, mother and baby are doing well. One of my colleagues does the WASP research, I'm at the other end of the gestation period (I research embryo implantation)

Thanks guys. Not sure about 'too many female genes' - too many females maybe? :) I do wear women's 3/4 shorts though so maybe that's the reason! I should be riding next week.

Well I'll not be riding with you guys for at least 2 weeks, truly gutted.

The Quote from the 'Doctor' needs recognition though:

"You haven't dislocated your knee, I don't know what you've done, keep that on and come back in two weeks"

Needless to say I may go for a second opinion.

Take it easy guys and happy shredding!

Peace
