Cotic Exclusive Demo Day 30/31st March
« on: February 05, 2019, 01:25:44 PM »
Anyone up for trying out a Cotic bike end of March?
I fancy trying one but they ain't doing any standard demo days round here.  They've mentioned they can do a closed demo day at end of March if there's a few people interested though.

Details here:
https://www.cotic.co.uk/demo/
But basically we need to decide which day, then how many want to have a go on a bike, i'll pass it on to them, then we turn up, fit our pedals and go ride something.  I'm thinking something along the lines of Smilog or Briton Ferry.  Good mix of trails and the like there.  Not too steep but enough interesting stuff to test out the bikes.  Maybe even Clyne if that's easier for people.

They've suggested we only need 3 people demoing bikes for them to justify organising it, so if you're a philistine and don't want to try a new bike then feel free to just come along for the ride anyways.

I can make up numbers too. Do you have to give them a list of bikes you're interested in? I'm vaguely in the market for an XC bike.  ::) Though I was half expecting I'd end up going second hand.

Cool.  Aiming for the 31st at mo.  I've asked them about how specific we need to be on what he brings down.

Ok, booked for the 31st.  Need to know what model and size(s) you want to try.  Or the model and your height could probably work too and let them decide what size.

Me:  Rocket 27.5, Small + Med
Curtis: Rocket 27.5, Not sure on size but is 5'11''
Justin: Rocket 27.5, Med + Small
Kris: Rocket 29, Large
Andy: Soul on 120mm forks, Large. He's 182cm tall so not sure on which size makes more sense for an XC bike.  Also Solaris Max on 29's and 120mm fork if there's room for it.
Jon: Soul or Solaris, Medium
Brendan: If alive, Rocket max 29, Medium
Rob: SolarisMax 29, Small
Robs boss: Rocket 27.5, Med
David: Making the day trip!
