Thurs 10-05-18 Running training
« on: May 10, 2018, 10:34:05 AM »
Anyone out tonight?  I've got a stupid 10k on Sun so I figure the best way to prepare is to go for a ride tonight.

Most likely taking my lunchbreak at the end of the day so should be getting down Clyne early.  Earlier than usual early.  Pre-early?
Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race - H G Wells (possibly)

I'll be out, possibly-potentially-normal-early.

A few loops of the Trenches and then up and down Gorilla untli you drop sounds like the perfect preparation for a running race to me!* :)

Well I was planning to come down tonight but I need some parts to fix my bike, I haven't got.

Anyone got a spare nukeproof rear axle?

Tristan... Running 🙁😝 Hell you'll be road biking or triathloning next. At least keep it to 2 wheels 😜😉😉

Have a good evening all its looking good ATM

I'll be out. Especially as I was up until 1am last night trying to fit a bottom bracket!!  >:( Note to self (and others), don't let a worn out BB go too far or you may struggle to get it out and you may damage your crank too!  >:( :-[ I've just got to fit the chain and I'm good to go, so may be out fairly early.

What's up with your axle Rob. It's a standard 142x12 axle. If you're getting a new one get one of these, far better than the old style!

It's the actual axle not the maxle, and its snapped. Took the wheel off to bleed brake and the cassette and free hub came off in one piece, so ordered a new from crc. The new maxle looks much better, but my old rear one is ok atm. Could do with a new front maxle maybe soon.
Going for a road ride instead now.

I'm pretty sure the midges liked it too  ;) (Not that I provided any hands on assistance..)

Defeated by midges?  I am shocked.
