Twentyfour12 2018 July 26-29th
« on: April 28, 2018, 09:19:57 AM »
Once again we have a team heading for Devon, for our annual portion of 24 hour action. This year - so far - itís me, Pilau, Craig and Andy Salmon, so we have another place available.

It is £42 for the weekend. This includes the race and camping from Thursday evening until Monday morning for racers and helpers included. (Meaning itís £42 for a whole weekend for the family...)

The course is normally entertaining. Not too difficult, because itís a 24 hour course, but Tristan enjoyed it and that speaks volumes. There are normally demo bikes, trade stands, food stalls, etc, and the venue is a private wooded valley on the edge of Plymouth, so  so you have all of the touristy things that south Devon can provide.

If you want to join us then let me know. Itíll be first come, first served. And just to blow our own trumpet - we came third in the veterans category two years ago, so youíll need to be as fit as us. 😂

I will add that I had been experiencing quite a lot of cramps when I said I enjoyed it.  It's possible my brain was cramping too!

Probably too soon after Canada for me to come along to form a less addled opinion this year.

Having had a full team of five, weíve now had a withdrawal so are back to four.

Anyone fancy joining us? £40, four nights of camping, free beer ( honestly), demo bikes, chilled racing. Itís good fun and very family friendly. If you let us know by Sunday youíre name will be on the list and number-board. If you decide later youíll be listed as TBC!

I'm not going to Canada until later now so potentially able to come.

My work have been pretty abysmal with signing holidays off lately though so equally possible i won't be able to.
What days is everyone going down / coming back?  The less days i can take off the easier it would be for me to sign up.

Also, i'm not as ancient as you lot, so if I do come, i'll probably ruin your chances of winning any prizes.

I think we could take a 10 year old and still be in the vets - thatís how ancient we are!

Iíll be going down on Thursday (until Monday), probably but you could in theory come down just on Saturday and Sunday. Even if you leave Swansea on Friday evening youíll be there by 9 or 10pm.

Your rippling muscles at Gritfest scared him off. 😁

Dom? We know how competitive you are. David? Bring the family! Andrť? Keeping very quiet. As is everyone else (who is left on the country, anyway.) Who is going to join us for a dry and dusty night ride in Devon?
