The sun is shining, glorious adventure awaits in the local mountains*.  Anyone brave enough to experience it?

*Well hills**

**Well mounds slightly higher than sea level.

Can't come up with any clever response, but yes, I will be going out using the elevation of the land to my advantage.

Yeah, Gav and myself are out.

Overheard on the BPW uplift yesterday: "(in annoyed voice) Last time I was here I wore tee shirt and shorts, I was freezing, no one told me it was on a mountain"

Also, same guy: "(proudly) I've only ridden twice before but I rode a black run, had to walk most of the way down it though"

Andy - unlucky about the lurgy again!  Hopefully just the standard variety this time.

See the rest of you later.  Chris - i'm sure that person was your favourite on the whole uplift!  I bet you let them lead the way down and everything! I hope you pointed out that given their lack of experience (and seemingly, sense) that attempting a black run is most definitely the best thing they can do.  Hell, I hope you invited them out tonight to sample dry track.

Woman about 30 mullered herself on one of the lower blacks too, we saw her friend roll the drop qualifier and nearly go otb so we told her it wasn't rollable so she walked down it, found her on the deck at the bottom of another non rollable drop! She's broken the jaw off her full face and was whinging like hell, I pointed out that it was better than her face, she had no idea of the grading at all and was completely oblivious to the fact she shouldn't have been riding it, on an XC hardtail too..

Hope your lurgy isn't too bad Andy.

Chris - I think you must have your own kook gravity or something.  I go riding pretty regularly and don't run into any of these things happening.  You seem to go riding and it's wall to wall kookdom (or should that Y Wall to Y Wall!).  Something odd definitely!

Glad you're over your lurgy Dom (or at least well enough to shred (or at least what we shall, for the purposes of this post, call shredding)).

Could it be that you're one of the kooks...?

Hahaha, now that I hadn't considered.  Maybe it's true, always the last to know!

I guess I better go find the lip of a drop or something to stand around on and wait for unsuspecting mountain bikers to crash around me.

Yep, my lurgy has lingered since Christmas and now seems to have come back almost full strength today. Just in time for my weekend off.

Fucking superb.

Justin's and Andy's lurgy experiences seem pretty par for the course, standard lurgy but a pretty nasty cold for all that, lingers and then comes back. Fun
