Saturday 19th August
« on: August 15, 2017, 07:07:49 PM »
It's my birthday on Saturday and I fancy that a morning ride followed by a lunchtime pint may be in order. I can't spend all day out because I'm doing stuff from about 2.30 but will probably head to Clyne/Kilvey for about 10am. Anyone feel like joining me? (No need to bring presents or cards, or even cake!)

I'm in work but can join you for two runs, Kilvey is very close to the shop.

Not 3 quick runs or one slow run?  :D

Where shall we meet and what time?

Sounds good - I'll be up there a little earlier, I think. Have you got my phone number?

I'll join if there's room :) Not in the best of shapes, but eager to go for a ride...

I'll be bringing the dogs for a walk first and then swap to the Bird, as long as its not too warm for the dogs to wait in the car. Meet at the carpark/portal around 11am then?

I'll come along for this. Can make 10ish if you still fancy getting out a bit earlier.  And as it's your birthday shouldn't you bring the cake?!

Sounds good - meet at the car park for 10? We can ride back down to find the others at 11.

Ta Steve, and thanks for the company all. Walnut whips, doughnuts delivered by David on foot*, fresh crab and beer in the marina afterwards. Why can't all rides be like that? (Best not to mention that we caught hypothermia outside the cafe and chairs were being blown away by the wind.)

*David has set an interesting precedent here, which he promised to maintain every ride. Look out for him popping out of the bushes brandishing pastry goods..
