Anything around Hereford?
« on: July 13, 2017, 11:15:18 PM »
Does anyone know any trails in the Hereford area? I'm going camping there next month, my brother in law, who I keep trying to get down to Clyne, is going to. Might take our bikes along if there's anything good around.

A little drive away I know, but we rode Hopton Woods last year which was good fun, and further north a bit difficult to locate is Eastridge which again is a forestry graded red trail which is only 5 miles in length, but is pretty demanding. Lots of other local stuff there too.

Thanks Rob and Jon.

I'll have a look at them and see if we can sneak off for long enough to visit one of them. Only going down for the weekend though so might not get a chance to go.

There's bound to be some homebrew stuff around somewhere, but I'm not familiar enough. There's plenty of XC , but i mean proper old school XC.  There's a long distance bridleway north of Hereford, if you fancy a plod.

A quick look on Strava shows a handful of segments with some promising names in Credenhill Park Wood just to the north west of town.

Thanks Andy. Doesn't look like there's much closer than about an hour away from where we're staying.

There's new bike park somewhere not too far away, can't remember where exactly. Black Mountains is excellent and not a massive drive.
