Anyone riding Sat?  Thinking of heading down Cwm Carn to ride one or both of the XC trails.

I pretty sure I can escape and join you. Never done CC, so it'll be interesting.

How is it possible that you've never done Cwm Carn?!  Guess we'll have to do both trails then to make sure you get the full experience!

Yea.  10:30 at Cwm Carn sounds like a plan.  See you there!

I've got no transport atm, so staying local, plus I've seen the downhill trails (or at least parts of them and there some big features!) I cant risk doing any damage to my hand before Monday, as they wont go ahead if I've got a cut.

Looks like cracking weather - have a good day.

I can give you a lift Craig  :) I assume:

we're not heading for the DH trails.  Not cutting yourself is just another incentive not to fall off!  ;)

Cheers Craig if I don't see you some time on the weekend all the best for Monday.
At least you have new wheels to look forward to.

I can give you a lift Craig  :)

Would you mind? I can give you petrol money, if you're able too then please.
What time should I be ready for? Hardtail or decrepit full sus?

Thanks Rob, hopefully I'll be there!

10:30. 1 1/2 hours from yours including packing time. Say 9 am.

Surely, ideally it's full suss territory guys? But  how decrepit us "decrepit"?! ::)

Incidentally guys. There's a post running at the moment on South Wales MTB's Facebook page about what's closed and what to ride or not ride. Not knowing the trails, I've no idea what they're really on about. Maybe worth a shufty? Tristan?

Cwm carn was great as always.  Good job everyone on getting round both the Twrch and Cafall on such a hot day!
Twrch has some pretty significant closures.  The rocky singletrack descent before the final descent is closed as well as the undulating singletrack before that.  There's a pretty terrible run down a fireroad to replace it.  Cafall was fully open and awesome.

Andy especially I think is now a convert to the wonders of Cwm Carn.
