Funding for Tools
« on: October 03, 2016, 01:00:26 PM »
Hey guys, I've just ordered a couple of Macleod trail tools from BTR (the only place in the UK you can get them), was using an old, slightly battered one yesterday which has been donated and was mightily impressed, so versatile and useful for us. One's for me (will use on dig days) and the other is for the Clyne Rider's tool box, they're expensive at 85 a throw (with postage) and we could do with a couple more plus some rakes and a couple more shovels so I was thinking about some sort of 'go fund me' type of thing for the FB page.

Has anyone got any experience of setting one of these up? Best one to use etc..

Suggestions gratefully received.

Hi Chris

I've not used any of these I'm afraid, but I'm happy to chip in towards tools.

Cheers

Same here! I'm sure just a general collection to a paypal account should get most people on here chucking in a few quid :)
You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Thanks, a PayPal account maybe the best and simplest way, I'm thinking the Facebook page too, I'll have a word with Dan Jones (treasurer).
