Phishing alert?
« on: November 30, 2015, 08:20:22 PM »
A forum user has notified me that their ISP believes the mtbpigs website or forum to present a phishing risk and has blacklisted it. I am looking into this, and think it's likely a false positive, but if anyone else has anything to report on this front please let me know.

Thanks
Mariner.

I've got a virgin media connection and it won't let me go onto the forum. Says that the site is unsafe.

Haha - how on earth did that happen?

I'm on Virgin too.  I'll double check when I get home but I haven't noticed anything.  Although I usually check the forum on my phone these days so maybe I wouldn't have noticed.

Thanks guys.

Yes I think the original problem was encountered by a user connecting on virgin media.

I think it's false positive but it's difficult to be sure, so grateful to anyone who spots and notifies me of anything that looks suspicious (either on the forum or on the 'main' Pigs website).

Some of the blacklisting agencies are a bit trigger happy...
