Christmas Eve Ride .....
« on: November 14, 2015, 08:46:11 PM »
I've always been unavailable to do this but this year I may have a ride pass :)
Providing I have enough forward planning it's do-able

So any ideas / plans yet ?

Good on you Steve, no plans yet but the last few years we have done a shortish but fun ride and back to the pub for a meal and drinks at the Joiners in Bishopston. Starting at community hall at 9.30.

How does that sound?

I am good for this too :) my shifts have been kind to me this xmas :D
You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I'm a definite now  :) assuming I don't injure myself! Are we definitely doing Gower with a pint in the Joiners after?

 >:(  Looks like I'll be entertaining the kids yet again. Last year, same I seem to remember. One Xmas Eve I'll be able to get out for the whole thing. (Or was last year when the woman got washed away in the stream. I'd said I'd be back by two but when I arrived home I was told that I should have stayed for a pint.  :(
And the previous year I felt so rough I just went straight home anyway. )

Just to recap - 9:30 at the Bishopston  community centre. XC ride around the Pwll Du/Bishopston area (making it up as we go along!) If it's foul, I imagine we'll not want to be out too long!!  :D ;)  Drink after, and food if wanted, in the Joiners or similar. Bring sow-esters!!  ;D

Is that a fair summary?  :)
