Can you help fix the Berms on Penmiller?
« on: June 28, 2015, 05:27:52 PM »
Erosion and some unsuccessful repair attempts mean that the first and last Berms on Penmiller need a bit of work so that they continue to flow properly. Shared access with the walkers will also need to be addressed on the first berm as the erosion has cut into the walking path. Also the flow of the the last berm could be improved with a bit of adjustment to the entry.

We will need a good turnout on a dig day in order to get this work done properly so please indicate whether you will be available to help on a weekend sometime in the next month. I know two of the regulars (Tristan and Mike) are off to Whistler soon so maybe we could do it when they come back?

Please post up your thoughts so I can try to organise a day that suits the most people.

I'm up for helping ... ( apologies about today though ... Just didn't have enough time )

Agree about the last berm being modified at the entrance. Always get a bit sideways there.
If the berm started a bit earlier it will flow far better
Planning on living forever .... So far so good !!

I'll see what I can do Bils, but I can't do Sunday mornings as the wife is working and I would at least a weeks notice before the next dig day. If I can't make a dig day, are there any other bits and bobs I can help out with?

It's the same reply as always for me - depends on the date, but really the next month- 6 weeks is horribly busy for me.

Always up for some trail maintenance so long as I can make it. Didn't get down to Clyne on Sunday for digging, apologies all. No excuses - I totally forgot!  ::)

I'll be there for dig days, I'm still prepared to hold the tools and get involved in practical ways etc as I see the importance of maintenance and development in keeping what we have and/or making it better.

So, yeah, you can count on my support Bils.

I'll try and fit in with the masses. Though I'm not sure I have the right to dig as I've hardly done much riding in Clyne of late!  ;)
