Bargain bike stuff
« on: November 22, 2011, 06:56:27 AM »
In this thread we shall share knowledge of cut price bike gear on the world wide web.
(No eBay links, unless they are low price buy it now, dead links shall be removed by the original poster)

Can we make this onto a sticky if it takes off?

Total bargain IMO. I have a dual pull deore for sale now. It mounts the opposite way to the one in the ad! Top swing I think?

Stumbled upon this: if your i2i is 200mm and your stroke is 50mm I suggest you check this out if you need a new rear shock!!

Blimey Dealextreme are doing bike parts!

How about SRAM X7 gearset for 75 to kick off with:
CLICKY

Front and rear disc brakes for 66 (compatible with shimano pads)
CLICKY

The Euro price is showing 88 atm.

BUT reading the entry on DX the price is only for X7 9sp shifters, NOT including the rear mech and front mech as pictured.

So no bargain at all when Merlin do the same shifters for 38.50.

Its 88 euro's - so like 65 odd GBP. And the description specifically says it comes with F and R mechs! It IS a bargain Jon....  ;)
Tubeless is great... I never get punctures...

- Model: SRAM X-7
- Color: Black + silver
- Made of high quality aluminum alloy and plastic
- 9 speed rear shifter
- 3 speed front shifter
- Shifter cable included
- Comes with front mech, rear mech
- Great for DIY project

It does as well!  ::) Apologies, Markieboy. I was in work trying to read that - probably trying not to swear at a customer. One of those days.

Although I was partly right: Shifters Kit - Black (Pair)
Price: $107.00 (88)

Is there no P&P?

Still not sure that it's much of a bargain when you can order from Merlin for probably only a few pounds more and have the delivery before 2013!  :D

They look like weapons, you detach them to fend off bikejackers.

Only just had a chance to look at your bar ends!

I can guarantee that I'd slot my fingers into the gap, then fall off and break said fingers!

I was looking to see what my Pitch might fetch second hand and came across this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Specialized-PITCH-PRO-hardly-used-save-my-expense-Mountain-downhill-/110783538784?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item19cb36a660 Veritable bargain IMHO. Looks mint. The guy sounds a bit whacked out - Check out his "Why would you by my bike?" section - amusing!!  :D
