Title: Christmas Eve Ride .....
Post by: Steve ;) on November 14, 2015, 08:46:11 PM
I've always been unavailable to do this but this year I may have a ride pass :)
Providing I have enough forward planning it's do-able

So any ideas / plans yet ?

Good on you Steve, no plans yet but the last few years we have done a shortish but fun ride and back to the pub for a meal and drinks at the Joiners in Bishopston. Starting at community hall at 9.30.

How does that sound?

I'm a definite now  :) assuming I don't injure myself! Are we definitely doing Gower with a pint in the Joiners after?

 >:(  Looks like I'll be entertaining the kids yet again. Last year, same I seem to remember. One Xmas Eve I'll be able to get out for the whole thing. (Or was last year when the woman got washed away in the stream. I'd said I'd be back by two but when I arrived home I was told that I should have stayed for a pint.  :(
And the previous year I felt so rough I just went straight home anyway. )

Just to recap - 9:30 at the Bishopston  community centre. XC ride around the Pwll Du/Bishopston area (making it up as we go along!) If it's foul, I imagine we'll not want to be out too long!!  :D ;)  Drink after, and food if wanted, in the Joiners or similar. Bring sow-esters!!  ;D

Is that a fair summary?  :)

Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it due to family commitments :(. Hope to make it out on the bike next week.

I hope to be there but still 50/50 at the moment though. I don't even have a valid excuse - it weighs solely on what the weather's like when I wake up  ;D

I'm having second thoughts now too - again no excuses but might go surfing this arvo instead and can't disappear all day. Might still be there at 9.30 but don't wait for me
